OUR WONDERFUL DIFFERENCES!

Goal: To help children recognize and value the ways that we are different.

Suggested Reading:

Description: Have the child make a collage using the Reflections images. Have the child look in the mirror and describe/notice their own skin tone, eye shape, hair texture. See if the child can find some pictures of people that remind them of themselves to glue down. Encourage the child to find pictures of people who do not look like them for their artwork.

Examples of Discussion:
• “Look at how many different kinds of hair there are!”
• “Eyes come in many shapes, but they are all used for seeing”
